camping site in snowdonia national park
Gwern Gor Isaf is perfect for outdoor activities, with climbing & abseiling available on site. Sir John Hunt stayed here while climbing on Tryfan in training for the ascent of Everest! The National Mountaineering Centre at Plas-y-Brenin is only 3 miles away, and mountain bike hire and pony trekking are available within 10 miles. The site is on the long distance 'Sustrans' cycle route, and the bunk house is perfect for the first night stop on the Cambrian Way long distance footpath.

The site is ideally situated for canoeists to enjoy the many and varied waterways and rapids of Snowdonia and North Wales - by Autumn 2003 (when it starts to get chilly again) we will have a drying room for our guests
